What to expect

Your first Sunday, minus the guesswork

Walking into a church for the first time can feel like a lot. So here's an honest picture of what a Sunday morning with us is actually like — no surprises, no pressure.

Come as you are — really

You'll see folks in everything from button-downs to blue jeans. There's no dress code. Wear what's comfortable; we're far more interested in you than in your outfit.

When you arrive, someone will likely say hello and help you find your way. You're welcome to introduce yourself or to slip into a pew and just take it all in — whatever feels right. You won't be singled out, asked to stand up, or put on the spot.

Worship that's warm and familiar

Our worship is casual in feel but traditional in shape. A typical Sunday includes hymns and music, prayer, a reading from Scripture, and a sermon that aims to be thoughtful and down-to-earth rather than flashy or heavy-handed.

A Sunday, step by step

The rhythm of our worship

Gathering & song

We begin together with music and hymns — some old favorites, some that may be new to you. You're welcome to sing out or simply listen.

Prayer

We pray for our church, our town, and the world — and for the ordinary joys and burdens people carry through the week.

Scripture & sermon

We read from the Bible and reflect on what it means for everyday life. Expect grace and honesty, not pressure or politics.

Communion

Every Sunday we share bread and cup at the Lord's Table. All are welcome — you never have to be a member to take part.

Sending

We close with a blessing and head back out into the week, hopefully a little more grounded than we came in.

Fellowship

Many folks linger afterward for coffee and conversation. It's a relaxed way to meet people — stay if you can.

However you arrive

This is for you, too

If you're new to church entirely — welcome. You don't need to know when to stand or what the words mean. Just follow along at your own pace; no one expects you to have it figured out.

If you're coming back after time away — there's no guilt waiting for you here, and no questions about where you've been. We're simply glad you came.

If you've been hurt by a church before — we're sorry that happened. We can't undo it, but we can promise to treat you with respect and let you set your own pace. You're safe to keep your distance until trust feels earned.

If you're not sure what you believe — you're in good company. Plenty of us are still working things out. Honest questions have always been welcome among Disciples, and they're welcome here.

We'll save you a seat

Have a question before you come? Just ask. Otherwise, we'll look for you on Sunday.
